That would tick me off too :D The logout is in the same position. Maybe it's the scale of the icon and that the icons are floated right in Khepri... If this is a real problem for folks I'll have it changed to a different icon.

I'm using it too, and I love it so far. I agree with the dock sentiments. The template works great when I'm working on a larger screen, but on 1024x768, things get a little cramped. My one complaint is that I have a lot of muscle memory that keeps taking me up to the logout button when editing things (intending to close, but I keep logging out.)

AP2 Rocks! Takes Joomla to the next level. Anyone serous about deploying sites for non-geeks needs this. Screen can be eaten up by the doc menu at the bottom. Looks cool, but our users get tired of accidentally triggering it when they scroll down the a bit. If it was half the size it would be better IMO. We turned it off. I was sorry to see the doc menu go...because it was so cool.

I love AP2!. I have been a JoomlaPraise customer for about 6 months. The support is great, and the add-ons are useful and stable. Brian, I find the repeated functions handy, because if I am thinking, and sometimes I am, it seems that the function I need is right next to my mouse cursor position.

I had the suprise of using this template the other day on a client site. I can see where it is coming from and it is a welcome effort to improve the UI and UX of the joomla admin. But the big problem I found was that if you are running on a small screen (I use 1024*600 on an asus eee) it was pretty unusable. On a large screen I can see that all the extras would add to things but on the small screen they really got in the way. I'm all for user choice so concepts like this and will surely lead others to consider the UI and UX of the admin side of joomla which has been pretty neglected by everyone. One thing I did find confusing was that are many places where functions are repeated.

Great review, many thanks Steve :-) I just wanted to respond to a couple points: All the links everywhere are configurable and can easily be swapped out in the AP Icons module, which is used everywhere. We just crunched that space down w/this release for smaller monitors, maybe icons are in order? Agreed, we intend for every user to pick which one they like and hide the rest. I love having these shortcuts for uninstalling, but I totally agree. I think they're calling this "Extensions Manager" in 1.6, so we can change "Installer" to "Extensions" I'd challenge any Joomla vet to use it for a week and try to stop :-) Lastly, I wanted to mention a couple of hidden features that I love: - History Crumbs: I couldn't live w/o my history crumbs! - Last visited page: if you're logged out and log back in you go right back to the same page - Set Start: click this to set ANY admin page as your 1st page on login - NinjaXplorer: the editor window is MUCH bigger in AP2
