Dodging the Bullets is a disaster preparation guide for Joomla! websites.
The first part of the book gives the reader the necessary tools to learn how to do proper system administration, backups and restorations, proper reporting methods to the Joomla community (to receive help) as well as reporting to the ISP/HOST of attacks, problems, etc.
Part Two of the manual gives the reader a working methodology to create a business continuity plan for their site. Throughout the book are several graphics to help understand concepts such as permissions, backup using phpMyAdmin and more. Additionally the book helps the reader with the normal day to day processes by providing 'forms' for various tasks such as backup media off site storage form, alert (calling lists) tree's for disasters, daily, weekly and monthly maintenance forms and development and production site testing for new components, modules and plugins. As a benefit to the reader, they will be able to download these forms from the author's website at the time of publication.
I believe that this book will become the Joomla Admin's standard reference for Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity of Joomla sites.
