A few people have emailed to ask what module we're using to welcome people who visit from search engines. If you reach Alledia.com from Google and Yahoo, you'll see the following text:
The module is SE Keywords, developed by Pietro Gallo, whose also developing search clouds and search modules for Sobi 2.
We've had SEKeywords running on Alledia.com plus two other sites and we've found the following useful result:
SEKeywords reduced our bounce rate by between 3 and 4% on each site (compared to the average for 2007 so far).

Hi guys!
I'm Pietro Gallo, the developer of SE Keywords module. It was a pleasant surprise to reach this page and find this review for my module. Just wanted to let you know that any enhancement request is welcome. Also, I've developed a version of the module with urchin tracker (google analytics tracker), that I'm currently testing on my own website before production release. Ciao! I noticed you're using the default welcome message that was meant for demo purposes only. The message is fully customizable. For example putting this code at the beginning of the welcome message:
%K will have the result of setting the module title to the actual search string. Also, consider using SE Keywords Module together with my Keyword Density content search plugin. It will dramatically improve user experience.

Found this an interesting read, was surprised to learn that this reduced bounce rates so much.
Is it just me, or does anyone also get the following message very often: "Unfortunately Joomla! doesn't support search strings longer than 20 characters" I get this message so often that it has kinda put me off this module... written by Pietro Gallo, November 04, 2007
Hi Steve and hi "Good Web Practices",
Is it just me, or does anyone also get the following message very often: "Unfortunately Joomla! doesn't support search strings longer than 20 characters" I get this message so often that it has kinda put me off this module... That's just the default message I used for demo purposes to stress one of the features of the module... Admin can put anything there, in any language and use all html tags s/he likes. Just play around with welcome text as much as you like!!!
