This is my presentation on Joomla SEO from JoomlaExpo.

Increasingly we're going to be recommending two SEO solutions for both Joomla 1.0 and Joomla 1.5 ... sh404SEF and the SEF Patch. I'm in the process of rewriting the SEO Book to make those our clear recommendations for most 1.0 and 1.5 sites, but this is the first time I've explained that publicly.

Some Things to Note

• The presentation was pretty general in nature - concentrating on 3 key problems.
• I think the Powerpoint is relatively self-explanatory although there may be quite a few things left out by the need to have only a couple of sentences on each page. Feel free to post requests for clarification in the comments.

Excellent slideshow for people new to SEO, everything was explained very well. Unfortunately I don't think the SEF patch is available for the last 2 releases of Joomla 1.0.x (1.0.14 and 1.0.15).

Thanks P.J. - getting the level right for different groups of people was the hardest part of getting it ready.

The SEF Patch is ready for 1.0.14 and 1.0.15 ... they just haven't updated their sales pages yet. Fortunately I think they have removed the sentence they had about 8 Euros being just 5 dollars!
