I've made this chart after getting several requests in the last few days, all asking which Joomla E-Commerce they should use. There's no right answer as the two main shopping carts, Virtuemart and iJoomla Digistore, are both very different.
There are two other shopping carts available that look like they may become contenders: - Freeway is an enhanced modification of osCommerce and thanks to Damian, the lead developer, I've been able to create a column for it also.
- IXXO is a commercial script I haven't had the chance to fully test-drive yet. It costs nearly $300.
If any major features have been missed and need comparing, drop a note in the comments. Joomla ECommerce|

For a full-blown e-commerce site, its the only choice, but it may be too complicated for smaller set-ups. | | Digistore is very simple and straight-forward. We use it for our store (see top menu) and it works flawlessly. Clients find it easy to understand and work with, although those that want more advanced features do need to move to Virtuemart. |

(you have a X on VM for inventory but from the description it should be a tick)
Thanks Brent ... I've added encoding as a row in the cart.
Thanks.
I'm looking forward to it, since it handles events as well as merchandise. Then I can ditch VirtueMart and AttendEvents for a single unified shopping cart. YEA!!
I'm an out-and-out VM fan and with the latest release it's clear they're pushing things forward... it's met all of my needs so far!
Thanks again, M
I actually had an IXXO column on this chart but they objected to some of my data about them.
Getting what they thought to be the correct data was like pulling teeth so I gave up and dropped their column.
