Breeze - the World's Easiest Joomla template

Breeze Template LogoWe don't launch a new template very often, but when we do it needs to be special.

Back in October last year, we created Bolt which was the fastest ever Joomla template. Now we're happy to release Breeze, which is the easiest Joomla template ever.

EASY: Breeze has exactly the same configuration as Joomla's default Milkyway template so all you need to is upload the template and your logo. No other set-up needed!

SIMPLE: Besides the easy configuration, this is also a ridiculously fast template. Depending on how it?s configured, it can use as little as 4 HTTP requests and only 2 images.

STYLISH: Breeze is clean and professional with a slick, horizontal menu: Joomla Breeze Menu

How to Install Breeze

Step #1: Install Joomla

You can either do this yourself, or via your hosting company:

install joomla

Step #2: Upload Your Breeze Template

Log on to your Joomla's administrator area and go to Extensions >> Install / Uninstall to upload the template. Then go to Extensions >> Template Manager and make Breeze your default template:

Upload Joomla Template

Step #3: Upload Your Logo Via Media Manager

Upload your logo to the main folder in Site >> Media Manager. The file should be called logo.png and 210 pixels wide and 100 pixels high.

Step #4: Relax and Enjoy Your New Template!

Looks great, a lot more module positions then Bolt. And great colors too.

Ah, if I only knew a few weeks ago, I owuld have waited and purchased this one instead.
A well, you can't win them all.

A very nice and really fast template.

Hi Kassim

Sorry - we're not including fluid at the moment. It takes quite a bit more code and we try to reduce as much as we can.

Another great template! You need to display all of the typography offered on both templates so we all can see the defaults already in the CSS. smilies/wink.gif

Thanks Sean - we'll do that and add a Typography page.

Kassim - we'll see what we can do smilies/wink.gif Shouldn't take too long to do that for you.

Loved the template, though I'm stumped how you can get rounded modules using only one type of image. Some of the techniques used are ones I've never seen before.

Great job! I considering buying it just to learn from it.

Thank spacepyrit

We like to think there's a few advanced techniques in there, even though it appears simple smilies/smiley.gif

I guess that "Advantages" and "Flexibility" menu items in the top menu should be highlighted and visible?!
Is it a cache of menu module or your template doesn't highlight active menu item?

Hi Steve,
Was wondering why you don't show any 2nd level navigation on the left navigation. Does it exist and how does it look?
Is the 2nd level displayed on the right side as "Related Items" coded into the template or some module extension.
Cheers,
Edward

Hi Edward

Apologies - there is 2nd and 3rd level navigation on the left. There was a menu cache bug (fairly common unfortunately with Joomla) that stopped it from showing briefly.

Now it's showingsmilies/smiley.gif

I'll give it a go with my new Joomla 1.5 test installation.

May I ask what you use for blogging? I like your setup.

Cheers,
Edward

Totally forgot to ask if it is possible to create an own color scheme with the 2 images provided. I want to experiment a bit.

Hi Edward

We're just using default Joomla with a calendar icon plugin and Jomcomment.

Yes, you can edit the image sprite to change colors.
