3000 Comments and a Special Prize

Alledia CommentsIn June this year we reached 2000 comments on the Alledia blog. It took us about 18 months and over 400 blog posts to get there. We're now nearly at 3000 comments, and it took only another 6 months.

As with the 2000 mark, whoever posts number 3000 will get a free lifetime SEO Club membership. We're at 2975 right now, so 25 more to go ....

Thanks to everyone who has commented and guest-posted over the last 2 years. Enjoy the holidays!

Thanks for running such a great service and community. The SEO information was and is indispensable, but even more helpful has been the community. I know that if I've got a question that I'll get a detailed and thoughtful answer here and that is money well spent to me.

Congrats on the blog progress!

This may be an appropriate blog entry for the winner of the 3000 grand prize.

What is the deal with the dog logo? Is he doing some kinda blink or did he get punched in the eye? What does Alledia mean?

Also, it happens to be my birthday. So I really should be the winner anyway.

Thanks guys - happy holidays to all of you!

Hey Clint - Happy Birthday!

Long story with the dog. Short story ... Our previous slogan was "People-Friendly Websites" and from their my graphic designer thought of a dog ... reliable, friendly, loyal etc. Also, people tend to remember it :)

I think there are some problems... When I access this site and log-in, and then click on this article or another article, on the page's article I am logged out. Even if I try to log in again, I got an error saying ~You are not authorized to view this resource~. I even tried using different browsers or locations. Sometimes this error appears later, but it does appear.

Thanks Kespian - we've had a couple of session bug reports in the last day or two. I'm trying to shoot the bug at the moment.

I thought is was regular postings on all forums too? how did you find out it was only this blog?
Any one could just flood this spot with off the wall comments, like I am doing, in order to win.

Hi Clint - sorry, I should have made clear that it's just the blog. We're nearly at 5000 posts on the forum :)

I do prune the comments pretty hard to avoid self-promotion.

Does anyone have a copy of xmap they can pm me. Their site has been down for a couple of days. OR, is there an alternate site mapping program recommendation?

Hi George - for some reason the validator didn't like an index.php? link in the text.

Could you check again now?
